Bronze Medal at World Cup Qualifier

WSIS supported Hockey athletes Kenny Bain and Gordon McIntyre were celebrating with their team mates yesterday after taking home a Bronze medal from the BDO World Cup Qualifier in Invercargill.

The Scottish side held their own throughout their match against China, who were ranked 11 places above Scotland, drawing 2-2 in normal time. However, the ensuing penalty shoot out saw the Scots thrash China to a 5-3 finish with former WSIS athlete Ross Stott scoring the final goal and securing the Bronze medal.
