Bronze Medal at World Cup Qualifier
WSIS supported Hockey athletes Kenny Bain and Gordon McIntyre were celebrating with their team mates yesterday after taking home a Bronze medal from the BDO World Cup Qualifier in Invercargill.
European Junior Tour Success for Team Muirhead (16th November 2009)
WSIS curler Thomas Sloan and his team mates won the European Junior Team Tour in Inverness at the weekend. Team Muirhead, skipped by Glen Muirhead scored a double in the final end to secure victory over their Norwegian rivals.
New British U23 Record for Kirkbride
WSIS supported weightlifter Peter Kirkbride, of the Kilmarnock Weightlifting Club has been busy putting in a strong performances at the European U23 Weightlifting Championships in Wladyslawowo, Poland 11-18th October and also at the British U-23 Championships in Kilwinning, 31st October.
